Reinforced concrete flat roofs deform under temperature loads and mechanical loads. Consequently, flat roofs made of reinforced concrete are usually supported in a sliding arrangement on top of the lower walls. The facing masonry is not capable of absorbing the deformation of the roof parapet without damage. As a result, facing masonry which extends all the way up to the upper edge of the roof must not be anchored in the area of the roof parapet. The roof parapet facing anchors JAV freely secure the facing shell up to the upper edge of the roof parapet; to do this, they are anchored in the ring beam of the lower wall.
